This Old Book its excited to announce our Second Annual Youth Creative Writing Contest.
3 Finalists from each age category will be featured at this years AuthorFest on August 4th! Deadline July 14th, 2018
Three Age Categories
- 4-8 years
- 9-12 years
- 13-18 years
Word count maximum 2000 words on any subject.
3 Finalists will be chosen from each age category to be featured at a booth at the August 4th Authorfest Event.
One 1st place winner will be selected from each age category and
receive a $50 gift certificate to This Old Book and a Authorfest goodie
bag. The work of the winners and runners up will be showcased at the Round Lake Beach Library and AchieveWE.org. Submit in person at This Old Book or email to thisoldbook1@att.net Please include contact information with

AchieveWE.org, an organization that showcases the talents and ideas of youth ages 5-19 around the world, is partnering with This Old Book to give every Youth Creative Writing Project Contest participate a chance to share their work. If you would like your creative writing piece to be featured on AchieveWE.org, please email your story and optionally, your age, to AchieveWE@gmail.com. All finalists of the Youth Creative Writing Project will also be featured on Achieve WE!
